Dirty Dancing Story
The story might be cheesy but it's still a great night out because this musical is truly engaging and fun. Set in Kellerman's holiday resort, in the Catskills, New York state back in the summer of 1963. the story centres around the relationship between daddy's girl , Frances "Baby" Houseman, and a talented, intense and handsome dance instructor, Johnny Castle.
The musical score is packed with both contemporary 80's and period songs, including the smash hit and Academy Award Winner for Best Song, "Time of My Life". This is a story about not being afraid of what people think, not being afraid to break the rules and that is as relevant today as it ever was.
The show has great songs, fantastic dance routines and is a real 'feel good' treat. A perfect frothy indulgence for this time of year! London in the run up to Christmas is great fun too. There are the Oxford and Regent Street lights and lots of scope for pre-Christmas shopping.
